I have an old hotmail account I never deleted and every so often I go on to clear out spam. I recently logged in and saw 123 failed delivery notices … seems I’d been hacked by spammers. So I clicked on a few to see who I’d spammed, and all the destinations were other spam accounts. This suggests that some significant percentage of internet traffic must be spam accounts talking to themselves.
