Vor ein paar Tagen hatte Adriaan ja bereits die neuen Features von meinem heiussgeliebten Blog-Client ecto angerissen. Nun ist die Version 2.3 verfügbar. Für alle, die sofort zu Tiger wechseln möchten, ist sicherlich interessant, dass ecto jetzt tiger-ready ist:

✩ Trial period is now 21 days instead of 14.
✩ Support for Technorati tags (see http://ecto.kung-foo.tv/archives/001365.php).
✩ When refreshing a list of entries, ecto checks for locally modified copies and asks for confirmation before overwriting them.
✩ Drawers for the entries list window and the draft windows are now embedded in the window.They are still optional and can still be resized, but the changes provide a more cleaner and compact interface (for more info, see http://ecto.kung-foo.tv/archives/001365.php).
✩ Status messages are now displayed in the entries list window. The activity window itself is optional.
✩ The custom HTML tag editor sports a preview.
✓ ecto explains and asks for the default editing mode (only once, of course).
✓ Fixed issue with del.icio.us authentication.
✓ Fixed issue where serials were entrered with a trailing space.
✓ Fixed a rare issue with ecto stalling at "Building content". This was caused by the Scripts popup menu in the options drawer not having anything selected.
✓ For textile preview, ecto inserts an extra blank line between body and extended.
✓ File upload names could not be renamed if a file with the same name had been cached before. Fixed.
✓ 10.4 compatibility.
✓ Fixed trackback extraction script to use curl instead of LWP::UserAgent, since the latter is not a standard installed perl module.
✓ Option for metal has been dropped since it became unmanagable.
