Vorab hier der kurze, aber entscheidene Hinweis: Es handelt sich bei der Software um einen Technology Preview. Also sollte man sich nicht zu viel erwarten.

Ich war aber schon ziemlich begeistert|beeindruckt.

You can cross-reference keys with their sources, generate original reports on their significant citations, and view relevant images automatically pulled from the web (utilizing our Beholder application). Whether you have a batch of documents to review or are just curious about the web's view on a particular subject, theConcept offers a unique solution to the information overload dilemma.

Wie bitte?

Vielleicht ein praktisches Beispiel. Ich lasse von theConcept bei Google nach den Begriffen „Steve Jobs“, „WWDC 2004“ und Keynote suchen. Also Ergebnis bekomme ich genannt, dass 89 relevante Seiten gefunden wurden. Auf diesen Seiten wurden 96.722 Wörter erfasst.

Das Programm-Fenster zeigt jetzt in 4 Spalten die am häufigsten aufgetretenen Wörter (Einfache Wörter: apple [1355 mal gefunden], mac [1049], … Wortkombinationen aus 2 Wörtern: steve jobs [1049], itunes music [73], … aus 3 Wörtern itunes music store [61], worldwide developers conference [57], … dashboard vs konfabulator [23],… aus 4 oder mehr Wörtern: mac os x tiger [54], hands-on labs with the latest mac systems [31], … ) In einem Drawer werden einem dazu noch die entsprechenden Quellen [Webseiten] angezeigt.

So kann ich mir relativ schnell einen Überblick verschaffen, welchen Quellen für meine Recherche relevant sind. Oder aber ich nehme es als Werkzeug fürs Brainstorming, wenn ich selbst eher ausgebrannt bin.

Später soll das Programm auch mal lokale Inhalte mit auswerten können [Vermutlich wird das fertige Produkt dann aber auch ne ganze Stange Geld kosten …].

Mein Fazit: Sehenswert. Ausprobieren lohnt sich.
